The new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray recently received the prestigious 2020 North American Car of the Year award. A jury made up of 50 independent journalists gave this award to the car for having a powerful performance and sophisticated design.
Lauren Fix, North American Car, Utility and Truck of the
Year president, said, “The excitement from consumers has been overwhelming.
From a journalist’s perspective, this is one of the best-built GM products that
exemplifies what it means to be the North American Car of the Year.”
The North American Car, Utility and Truck of the Year
Awards recognize the vehicles that exceed in the areas of design,
innovation, performance, safety, technology, value and driver satisfaction. The
Corvette has now won the North American Car of the Year award three times,
having previously received the honor in 1998 for its fifth-generation model and
in 2014 for its seventh generation model.
The 2020 mid-engine Corvette is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine,
which achieves 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. You can also opt for the
Z51 Performance Package to optimize performance and enjoy smooth rides.

The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 has an impressive history of racing. With its powertrain and durable features, it can handle a variety of terrains and persevere in races.
By August of 2019, the Colorado ZR2 had competed in 11 Best
in the Desert races and was one of just four vehicles to complete them all.
Since the model was first revealed in 2017, Chad Hall has been driving the off-road
As a result of the races, Chevrolet has gained the knowledge
needed to further enhance the Colorado with different parts, helping the truck
withstand off-road conditions. The Colorado ZR2 has received numerous upgrades
and now offers skid plates, rock sliders and an Autotrac®transfer
case for 2020. A 3.6-liter V6 engine powers the truck, though a Duramax®
2.8-liter Turbo-Diesel engine is also available.
“In off-road racing, your speed comes from your suspension,
not your engine. Usually, when you modify the suspension on a stock truck, the
rest of the truck can’t keep up with it,” said Chad Hall. “However, the
Colorado is such a great platform, everything seems to work at the same level.”
With cold winter days on the horizon, now is a great time to get your vehicle winter-ready. Follow these winter vehicle care tips to keep your vehicle running smoothly throughout the season.
Check your tires regularly
When the temperature outside drops, your tire pressure can
also lower. As such, you should regularly check your tire pressure to ensure
your tires are properly inflated. You should also inspect your tire tread routinely
since tread is important for having traction on slippery roads.
Level off your antifreeze
Antifreeze or coolant is what prevents your engine from
freezing on frigid days. That’s why it’s important that you make sure you have
enough antifreeze in your vehicle. You should also check that there are no
leaks in the engine, which could cause your antifreeze to drain.
Ensure you have optimal visibility
You need to have enough visibility when driving, especially
during winter snowstorms. Replace your wiper blades before the weather gets too
cold if they are not working properly or they’re leaving streaks. You should
also replace any light bulbs that are out in your headlights or taillights.

Janet Ries, vice president of marketing at Carhartt, said, “This
truck represents a true collaboration of our brands coming together to create a
durable, purpose-built truck for people who not only work hard on the jobsite,
but also live a rugged lifestyle.”
Chevrolet and Carhartt initially worked on the 2017
Silverado 2500HD Carhartt concept together, which they showcased at the 2016
SEMA Show. The concept truck was so popular that they decided to develop the
2021 Silverado HD Carhartt Special Edition, which is based on the Silverado
2500 LTZ crew cab.
Inside the truck, there’s a Carhartt-themed interior with
leather-appointed seats that have a unique stitch design along with all-weather
floor liners that have the Carhartt badge.
The truck features the Z71 Off-Road Package that has Hill
Descent Control and skid plates. The exterior comes in the Mosaic Black
Metallic color with Carhartt gold pinstripe details. It also has a soft rollup
tonneau cover and 20-inch wheels with All Terrain tires.
