If you’re taller than average or simply enjoy having plenty of room in your ride, take a look at Kelley Blue Book’s list of the Best Used Cars and SUVs for Tall People. Both the Chevy Equinox and Impala made the cut, showing that you can have comfortable rides at an affordable price.
Important Car Considerations
In order to test out which vehicles were the roomiest, KBB
polled a couple of its employees over 6 feet tall about what their most
important car considerations were. These considerations include headroom,
legroom, mirror and steering wheel adjustment, windshield height, and whether a
moonroof left room for a tall driver’s head.
2017 – 2019 Chevrolet Equinox
KBB recognized the 2017 to 2019 Chevrolet Equinox as one of
the roomiest SUVs for tall people. The capable SUV not only comes with a
budget-friendly price tag, but it also offers 39.8 inches of front legroom and
40 inches of front headroom.
2017 – 2020 Chevy Impala
The late, great Chevy Impala was known for its sizeable,
commanding presence. Accordingly, KBB named the 2017 to 2020 Impala one of the
best used cars for long-legged individuals because of its impressive 45.8
inches of legroom.
If you’re shopping for a new family vehicle, you may find yourself trying to choose between the capability of a truck and the comforts of an SUV. To help make that decision a little bit easier, here’s a guide to the benefits of each.
Advantages Of A Truck
If you need the power and
capability to tow heavy loads, consider the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or
Silverado HD. For a more compact ride that still packs plenty of muscle, check
out the Chevrolet Colorado. These workhorses are great for bringing along
campers, ATVs, boats, or trailers. Thanks to the Durabed’s class-leading cargo volume,
the Silverado makes it easy to transport home-improvement materials,
landscaping items, furniture, and outdoor adventure gear, so it’s perfect for
families with an active lifestyle.
Perks Of An SUV
If you’ve got three or more kids — or
large four-legged friends you’d like to bring along for the ride — an SUV like
the Chevy Tahoe or Suburban might be a better fit for your needs. These
spacious, three-row vehicles offer seating for over seven passengers, along
with roomy cargo areas that are perfect for accommodating pet crates and
luggage alike. On top of that, SUVs tend to offer better fuel economy than
trucks, so if you’ve got a long commute, an SUV might be right for you.
The question of buying used or new is a familiar one for many drivers. Is it better to purchase a shiny, freshly assembled vehicle with the latest tech, or a used vehicle that costs you less? The answer to this question will differ for each driver, so we’ve assembled the top benefits of used and new vehicles to help you determine which option best fits your wants and lifestyle.
The biggest perk of buying a used vehicle is the money
you’ll save. Even if the pre-owned vehicle you’re eyeing is from a more recent
model year, it will still have a much more affordable price than it did when
new. Another positive is the vehicle’s resale value. If you choose to sell your
used vehicle after a few years of ownership, the resale value will likely be
close to the amount you initially paid to own it.
By purchasing a new vehicle, you can enjoy a number of
fantastic benefits. First, you’ll have access to the latest technologies and
conveniences, which can help you stay connected and comfortable on the road. Shopping
for a factory-fresh vehicle also means you don’t have to worry about its condition
or age, and you have a wide variety of financing options to choose from.

The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 has an impressive history of racing. With its powertrain and durable features, it can handle a variety of terrains and persevere in races.
By August of 2019, the Colorado ZR2 had competed in 11 Best
in the Desert races and was one of just four vehicles to complete them all.
Since the model was first revealed in 2017, Chad Hall has been driving the off-road
As a result of the races, Chevrolet has gained the knowledge
needed to further enhance the Colorado with different parts, helping the truck
withstand off-road conditions. The Colorado ZR2 has received numerous upgrades
and now offers skid plates, rock sliders and an Autotrac®transfer
case for 2020. A 3.6-liter V6 engine powers the truck, though a Duramax®
2.8-liter Turbo-Diesel engine is also available.
“In off-road racing, your speed comes from your suspension,
not your engine. Usually, when you modify the suspension on a stock truck, the
rest of the truck can’t keep up with it,” said Chad Hall. “However, the
Colorado is such a great platform, everything seems to work at the same level.”
Janet Ries, vice president of marketing at Carhartt, said, “This
truck represents a true collaboration of our brands coming together to create a
durable, purpose-built truck for people who not only work hard on the jobsite,
but also live a rugged lifestyle.”
Chevrolet and Carhartt initially worked on the 2017
Silverado 2500HD Carhartt concept together, which they showcased at the 2016
SEMA Show. The concept truck was so popular that they decided to develop the
2021 Silverado HD Carhartt Special Edition, which is based on the Silverado
2500 LTZ crew cab.
Inside the truck, there’s a Carhartt-themed interior with
leather-appointed seats that have a unique stitch design along with all-weather
floor liners that have the Carhartt badge.
The truck features the Z71 Off-Road Package that has Hill
Descent Control and skid plates. The exterior comes in the Mosaic Black
Metallic color with Carhartt gold pinstripe details. It also has a soft rollup
tonneau cover and 20-inch wheels with All Terrain tires.
